چکیده
Abstract Groundwater is one of the most important water sources in arid and semi-arid areas. With increasing world population demand for agriculture urban use, need resources has increased, especially regions, where groundwater play a significant role. To prevent pollution resources, various studies their preservation maintenance should be carried out, including detailed plan proper management establishing balance between quality how to use them. It becomes understand spatial change resources. In this study, Sabzevar plain, typical region climate Iran, was selected as case study assess region, using data from 24 observation wells 2015 2019. Using Arc GIS software, map parameters area prepared assessment comparison with existing international standards. The results showed that (except pH HCO 3 − ) concentration Sodium, Magnesium, other anions cations higher than corresponding WHO standard limit, suggesting unsuitable drinking agricultural use. According Wilcox chart, 87.5% samples are C4S4 class while 8.33% C4S3 class, showing due its high salinity alkalinity. Piper diagrams show more 50% non-carbonate alkalis, indicating very area. pie chlorine ion sodium dominant respectively. Schuler diagram shows none examined were good drinking. Therefore, considering importance activities area, it recommended have solutions mixing freshwater

Roadside flora in arid and semi-arid natural areas (Case study: Northern Khorasan province, Iran)
Roads have an important role in plants dispersal on different scales. Various plant species settle on roadsides, but some of them can enter the natural environments and threaten their biodiversity. Worldwide knowledge of roadside flora is necessary for local and global management of natural areas. Accordingly, the roadside flora of Northern Khorasan rangelands was studied along the 600 km ...
متن کامل1 Groundwater modelling in arid and semi - arid areas : an introduction
Water resources globally face unprecedented challenges, but these are at their greatest in the world’s arid and semi-arid regions. Recent IPCC estimates (Kundzewicz et al., 2007) state that between 1.4 and 2.1 billion people live in areas of water stress; those numbers are expected to increase significantly under the pressures of population growth and climate change. By definition, arid and sem...
متن کاملSimulation of the catchments hydrological processes in arid, semi-arid and semi-humid areas
Hydrological processes and their spatial distribution directly are relevant to climate, topography, geology, and land use in the watershed. Therefore, use of a model whit integrity and high performance for simulating the process in deferent watersheds is very important. In this study was assessment performance of semi-distributed SWAT model in simulating hydrology processes in three watersheds ...
متن کاملHydrogeochemical Evolution of Groundwater Resource in an Arid Region of Southeast Iran (Ravar plain–Kerman province)
This study was carried out in the Ravar plain, a typical arid zone in southeastern Iran, with the objectives of evaluating hydrochemical quality of the groundwater resources and identifying the processes that modify the groundwater composition. Groundwater samples were collected from representative wells spread over the study area. Major cations and anions along with physico-chemical parameters...
